About The Position

Perform ultrasound examinations as ordered by referring physicians and report the preliminary findings to the Radiologists. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role is located in Mt. Laurel.

Requirements

RDMS (Abdomen and/or OB/GYN)
Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
Proficient computer skills
Infection control practices
Knowledge of pathology
Knowledge of image interpretation
High level disinfectant procedures

Nice To Haves

RVT preferred
Two years experience as ultrasound technologist preferred

Responsibilities

Review personal information for accuracy, patient information, referring physician, and referral/script prior to performing the examination.
Explain procedure to patient and answer any questions regarding the exam procedure.
Perform high-quality ultrasound studies as ordered by the referring physicians’ orders.
Review images with radiologists when necessary.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations.
Provide accurate written technical interpretation to Radiologist.
Maintain exam rooms, which may include stocking with supplies.
Maintain work area and equipment QC checklist.
Travel to SJRA offices as necessary.
Ensure punctuality and regular attendance.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
