About The Position

Upon the order of a qualified provider, the Ultrasound Technologist utilizes equipment that employs high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology and/or OB Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Imaging services include performing scans for obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) patients. The Ultrasound Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS). May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
  • Education sufficient to meet applicant status with the ARDMS or ARRT (S)
  • 2+ years clinical ultrasound experience in OB/Gyn scans
  • RDMS (OB/Gyn)
  • BCLS certification
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare related degree
  • RT(S), RDMS (BR), (OB/Gyn)
  • Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification
  • 3+ years of clinical ultrasound experience
  • PACS and RIS experience
  • Breast ultrasound imaging experience
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
