About The Position

Performs two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs. This position is also responsible for patient safety protocols, maintaining all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements. This role preforms both vascular, general ultrasound and intervention procedures under ultrasound guidance. Participates in CQI activities.

Requirements

  • One year of imaging experience.
  • Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Required to take call /standby in Ultrasound department and for NNMC as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Prefer specific experience and training in Ultrasound.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, relaying and documenting verbal, written and electronic orders in the patient’s medical record.
  • Corroborating patient’s clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed independent practitioner prior to patient arrival.
  • Evaluating images for technical quality getting all necessary images to ensure the radiologist gets the information needed ensuring proper identification is recorded.
  • Utilizes safety boards and follows timeout processes and documentation on all interventional cases.
