About The Position

Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem - Diagnostic Ultrasound Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH also supports Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization. Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services.

Requirements

  • RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain.
  • Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
  • Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competency in performing all general and vascular ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation.
  • Positions patient and equipment and produces an appropriate recording.
  • Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
