About The Position

Performs ultrasound examinations according to physicians’ orders, using a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment and taking into account each patient’s special or age-related needs. The position is part of Providence’s Oregon Clinical Programs and supports its patient-focused, whole-person care mission.

Requirements

• Education sufficient to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
• Board eligible for certification through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• Oregon Sonographer license or Oregon Sonographer Temporary license upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Obtain national certification from ARDMS within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
• New graduates must be board eligible and obtain ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire.
• New graduates must have an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• 2 years of OBGYN sonography experience for positions 612-71875, 612-71877, 612-71878, 612-71882, 612-71883, and 612-71884.
