About The Position

The Ultrasound Technician performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations using specialized imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers. The technician prepares patients, operates and maintains ultrasound equipment, obtains appropriate images, documents findings, and follows established safety and patient-care standards.

Requirements

• ARDMS certification or eligibility preferred/required
• Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Current AHA BLS

Responsibilities

• Evaluate image quality and ensure all required views are obtained.
• Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and safety throughout examinations.
• Follow infection-control, radiation-free imaging, and workplace safety procedures.
• Clean and maintain ultrasound equipment and report equipment problems when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain continuing education and required professional credentials.
