About The Position
Fairfax Radiology Centers is seeking a Part-Time Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer to join their team at the Alexandria Imaging Center. This role involves performing high-quality general ultrasound examinations and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends, evenings, major holidays, or on-call duties. Free on-site parking is available.
Requirements
- RDMS certification required upon hire
- Current BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset
Nice To Haves
- Breast ultrasound experience is a plus, but not required
- New graduates in Diagnostic Medical Sonography are welcome and encouraged to apply
- 1+ year of experience in general ultrasound preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations, including OB (1st trimester), GYN, Abdominal, and Small parts.
- Consistently acquire and evaluate high-quality images for diagnostic accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists regarding exam findings.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with professionalism and empathy.
