About The Position

The Ultrasound Technologist performs and assists with various types of ultrasound procedures, adhering to protocols established by radiologists. This role is essential in a high-risk obstetric specialty practice that provides advanced prenatal ultrasound, fetal monitoring, genetic counseling, and maternal-fetal medicine services for pregnant patients with complex medical or pregnancy-related conditions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years in ultrasound, with experience in high-risk obstetrics or maternal-fetal medicine preferred, including Level II detailed anatomy ultrasounds.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with graduation from a 2-year AMA approved ultrasound program required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an obstetrics specialization (RDMS-OB) required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist with ultrasound procedures following established protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Check for proper patient preparation prior to procedures.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment effectively.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care for patients.
  • Ensure timely diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment planning for patients.
  • Manage both routine follow-up care and urgent evaluations throughout the pregnancy continuum.
