About The Position

Community Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our Radiology department. This PRN position offers the opportunity to perform a variety of sonographic examinations, interact with patients, and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in diagnostic medical sonography or a related field required.
  • Experience and training in general ultrasound, vascular and OB in the hospital setting preferred
  • ARDMS Registered and/or ARRT Registry in Radiology

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Ultrasound Examinations: Perform sonographic examinations of various parts of the body, including abdomen, pelvis, obstetrics, and vascular systems.
  • Patient Interaction: Explain procedures to patients, address their concerns, and ensure their comfort during the examination.
  • Image Acquisition: Use specialized equipment to capture high-quality images, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
  • Analyzing Images: Assess the images for quality and accuracy, recognizing any abnormalities that may require further investigation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care plans.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed patient records, documenting procedures performed, findings, and any relevant patient history.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure ultrasound equipment is properly maintained and functions correctly, reporting any issues promptly.

Benefits

  • $40.00 - $46.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.
  • $10,000 Bonus
