About The Position

The Ultrasound Technologist performs non-invasive diagnostic imaging examinations to help physicians diagnose, monitor, and treat patients. The role combines technical imaging expertise with compassionate patient care and supports medical decision-making and patient outcomes. The position is listed as weekend days, PRN, with an hourly range of $32.00–$48.00.

Requirements

Degree from an accredited Medical Imaging Program.
ARRT or ARDMS certification.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist in the state of practice, where applicable.
Strong technical and imaging skills.
Excellent attention to detail and image quality.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using specialized imaging equipment.
Prepare and position patients for procedures while ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity.
Capture high-quality images of organs, tissues, blood vessels, and other anatomical structures.
Evaluate image quality and ensure studies meet diagnostic standards.
Explain procedures to patients and address their questions or concerns.
Assist physicians by providing diagnostic imaging information that supports patient-care decisions.
Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation.
Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report maintenance concerns when needed.
Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, patient-focused imaging environment.
