About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a hospital imaging department. The role involves patient preparation, operating ultrasound equipment, capturing diagnostic images, and supporting radiologists with accurate imaging data.
Requirements
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years ultrasound technologist experience (0–2 yrs contract acceptable per posting)
- Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography OR accredited ultrasound training program
- Strong communication, accuracy, and patient care skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with PACS preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform and assist in ultrasound examinations following department protocols
- Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly and professionally
- Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment safely
- Capture and transfer images to PACS for radiologist interpretation
- Ensure patient safety and equipment safety during procedures
- Maintain adequate supplies and department readiness
- Assist with scheduling and patient transport coordination when required
- Support onboarding and training of new ultrasound staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
