About The Position

Roshal Health is a national diagnostic imaging company serving clients and employing clinical staff across all 50 states, with local and travel opportunities. The company was founded by a diagnostic imaging professional and focuses on providing more time for patients and better work/life balance for technologists. The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound studies, primarily in emergency department settings at hospitals and freestanding facilities. The role requires independent work, professional communication with patients and facility staff, and the ability to perform general abdominal, OB, and vascular scans and procedures. This is a PRN position in Venice, Florida.

Requirements

At least 1 year of ultrasound imaging experience after graduation.
Current ARDMS certification, RDMS; certification in Abdomen or OB is preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
BLS/CPR certification.
Professionalism and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
Must pass health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screening and background check.
Comfort with general abdominal, general OB, and general vascular scans and procedures.
Ability to use mobile phone devices and applications.
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology sufficient to identify the area to image.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
Ability to act calmly and effectively in busy, stressful, or emergency situations.
Ability to communicate effectively in English in person, by phone, and in writing.
Adherence to policies and procedures, including safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance standards.
Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and maintain quality control standards.
Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision and to multitask efficiently and effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, client-facility medical staff, management, and peers.
Ability to maintain the mental acuity, situational awareness, and decision-making ability needed for patient assessment, image acquisition, prioritization, and communication with the care team.
Ability to safely lift and move 30 pounds independently and assist with patient positioning, transfers, and mobility activities.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to manage interactions in difficult or stressful situations.
Physical capability for prolonged standing and walking; frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and repositioning patients; occasional squatting, kneeling, and working in confined or awkward spaces; lifting and carrying equipment; pushing and pulling medical equipment; assisting with patient transfers and positioning; frequent to constant upper-extremity use and repetitive hand movements; maintaining extended arm positions or awkward postures; continuous visual concentration and hand-eye coordination; and performing multiple examinations throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound diagnostic studies in accordance with accepted protocols.
Maintain a professional demeanor and respond promptly and professionally to work-related calls.
Contact the assigned facility with an estimated arrival time and arrive within the prescribed timeframe.
Follow prescribed safety standards when operating equipment.
Maintain work areas in compliance with client standards.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and files as directed.
Document work processes as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
