About The Position
Performs a variety of procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of ultrasonic equipment for the diagnosis of breast disease. Assists in all interventional procedures using breast ultrasound. Provides a written sonographer impression for all exams and documents accurately and completely in MagView.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent with at least an associate degree or certificate in sonography.
- Must complete an approved training program in sonography to be registry eligible.
- Must pass registry exam to become a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS).
- RDMS eligible.
- Pass registry exam to be RDMS within 1 year of hire date.
- Remain current with CME’s required to keep registered status.
- Obtain quality diagnostic breast ultrasound images.
- Computer skills essential.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year clinical rotation or equivalent work experience in sonography preferred
- Advanced skills preferred (i.e. MagView, Sectra, eRecord).
