About The Position

Performs and records two-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data. Completes patient intakes via collection of medical history and answers patient questions regarding imaging procedures. Confers with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine if additional images required.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered as a vascular technologist with the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI) OR Registered as a Sonographer (ARRT(S)) or a Vascular Sonographer (ARRT(VS)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Registered within 6 months of hire and pass boards withing 1 year of hire.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous clinical experience to be able to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, equipment operation, and to gain knowledge of patient care techniques.
