Ultrasound Technologist
About The Position
Performs imaging procedures and provides patient services using imaging modalities. The position requires satisfactory completion of formal imaging training in an AMA approved school and meets requirements of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and/or New York State Department of Health Licensure. The role involves participation in orientation and continuing education, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills, and completing population-specific competency annually. The work environment is a clinical setting with Exposure Class I hazards. Physical demands include medium work such as standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of formal imaging training in an AMA approved school.
- Meets requirements of American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Meets requirements of New York State Department of Health Licensure.
- Demonstrated mechanical and/or electrical dexterity and ability.
