About The Position

The Ultrasound Services Technologist is an advanced allied health professional with demonstrated skills and competency in all required General and Vascular Ultrasound procedures provided in the hospital. The Technologist supervises work area activities, assumes responsibility for technical staff, and maintains standards of quality; supervises all technical aspects of the work area; is responsible for the day-to-day operations of that area and for making work assignments to accommodate work requirements.

Requirements

  • 3 years dedicated experience in General and Vascular Ultrasound (required) providing the care needed by the geriatric, adult, adolescent, child, and neonatal patient populations or 2 years of full-time experience at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center as a General and Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with work assignments which demonstrate the assumption of increasing responsibilities
  • Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

Nice To Haves

  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) preferred
