About The Position
Bedford Commons OBGYN is seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasonographer) to join their clinical team three days per week. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in women’s healthcare while working alongside a collaborative and supportive team dedicated to exceptional patient care. The position involves working closely with providers and clinical staff to deliver high-quality diagnostic ultrasound care in an OBGYN setting.
Requirements
- Current/valid Diagnostic Ultrasound certification required
- Completion of an accredited ultrasonography program
- ARDMS certification (or eligibility) required
- Continuing education maintained per accreditation standards

- OBGYN experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and capturing quality images for physician interpretation
- Preparing and educating patients before procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
- Assisting physicians during ultrasound-guided procedures as needed
- Maintaining accurate patient documentation and sonographic records
- Ensuring required consent and documentation are completed
- Maintaining ultrasound equipment and inventory of supplies
- Delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining confidentiality
- Supporting a collaborative, team-focused environment across the practice
