Performs imaging guidance for Interventional Procedures and Surgical procedures. This position is part-time and scheduled for daytime hours. Shifts are assigned on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday, with shift options available.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program required.
  • 3+ years of Ultrasound experience required.
  • One of the following certifications is required: Radiography (R) Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography (S) Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Pediatric Sonography from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS-PS) must be obtained within 12 months of start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with documentation of diagnostic procedures and working with MS Office/ other relevant electronic systems preferred.
  • Experience with medical terminology related to area of Diagnostics/Imaging.
  • Proven performance in earlier role/ comparable role.
  • Registration in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT- R) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine procedures within area.
  • Operate equipment and execute processes as per protocol to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
  • Communicate with patient and family around procedures; monitor and address/escalate any distress reported by patient.
  • Conduct documentation tasks within relevant information systems as per defined guidelines (e.g., storage, retrieval, tracking, disposal of paper, electronic and film imaging records, process logs, files, billing reports).
  • Produce and evaluate data, information, and images as required.
  • Perform quality control activities, document results and escalate issues as required.
  • Assist in set-up, calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting activities for equipment within area.
  • Support inventory management including monitoring, receipt, and appropriate storage of supplies; report inventory replenishment requirements to relevant teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
