Beloit Health System is looking to add a Ultrasound Technologist II to our Team! This role is responsible for assessments, procedures and care for the patient with medical uses of Ultrasonography. The Ultrasonographer II performs patient assessments, reviews symptoms and explains procedures, provides comfort measures during testing, and ensures proper documentation of exams and procedures while maintaining accurate patient records. This position requires the ability to recognize various pathological states and alter exams for appropriate diagnosis, reporting abnormalities to physicians. The role involves setting up and operating equipment and transducers appropriately, actively participating in in-service and continuing education programs to maintain CEU credits, and working effectively with students by teaching sonography concepts and skills. The technologist will demonstrate accurate and efficient use of computer software, manage inventory and stocking of supplies, assist with patient care including transportation, and provide input for equipment and supply decisions. Additionally, the role includes detecting and reporting equipment malfunctions, assuming responsibility for portions of the department's quality assurance and improvement program, performing PACs, clerical, scheduling, and filing functions, and assisting other departments within Medical Imaging.
