About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS) to join a dynamic healthcare team for a travel assignment in Hyannis, MA. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and service excellence.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program required
- Current ARDMS certification required
- ARDMS registrations in Abdomen and OB/GYN required
- Current BLS Certification required
- All certifications and registrations must remain active throughout assignment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in a clinical setting
Nice To Haves
- Prior hospital or acute care experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and ultrasound equipment for diagnostic procedures
- Select appropriate transducers and imaging frequencies based on exam requirements
- Review patient history, physician orders, and supporting clinical documentation
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images
- Explain ultrasound procedures and ensure patient comfort throughout exams
- Evaluate image quality and ensure proper documentation and labeling
- Maintain accurate radiology and patient records
- Assist physicians during specialized ultrasound procedures and needle biopsies
- Coordinate workflow efficiently to support departmental productivity
- Monitor equipment functionality and arrange maintenance or repairs as needed
- Follow infection control, safety standards, and departmental policies
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethical standards
- Deliver exceptional customer service and patient-centered care
