Requirements

  • Graduate of diagnostic medical sonography program or school of radiology.
  • ARRT/DMS certification.
  • BLS.

Nice To Haves

  • ARRT with one (1) year DMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality ultrasound studies to include abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast, and testicular small parts for use by the radiologist in the diagnosis of patient illness.
  • Maintains appropriate files, supplies, and equipment.
  • Perform sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients across the lifespan.
  • Maintain supplies and ensure clean and orderly work areas; notify supervisor of needed items.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity.
  • Act as a consultant and educational resource for physicians and staff regarding appropriateness and accuracy of scans.
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
