About The Position
Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures. Spring View Hospital is a 75-bed facility offering a full range of services with state-of-the art technology including pain management, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, behavioral health services, wound care and laboratory. Spring View Hospital's staff and physicians pride themselves on providing advanced quality care and service.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology required.
- ARRT/ARDMS/CCI certification; BLS required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician.
- Provides age-appropriate care to patients across the lifespan.
- Maintains supplies and ensures a clean, orderly work area; notifies supervisor of needed items.
- Maintains and calibrates equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity.
- Acts as a consultant and educational resource for physicians and staff regarding appropriateness and accuracy of scans.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
