About The Position
Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment while supporting radiology operations. This role involves weekday and weekend coverage, including holidays, with both day (7:00 am – 7:30 pm) and night (6:00 pm – 6:30 am) shifts available.
Requirements
- Medical Instrument Technician (MIT) designation
- Minimum 2 years ultrasound/sonography experience
- BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- ARDMS certification
- PACS experience
Responsibilities
- Operate ultrasound equipment for diagnostic imaging
- Prepare and position patients for exams
- Select appropriate imaging settings and capture images
- Document findings and ensure image quality
- Maintain exam room readiness and supplies
- Upload images to PACS and manage records
- Enter patient data into CPRS/Radiology systems
