Ultrasound Technician
About The Position
As an Ultrasound Tech, you’ll be a vital part of our clinical care team, providing high-quality diagnostic imaging with accuracy, efficiency, and compassion. Your role will include performing diagnostic ultrasound exams per physician orders, reviewing patient history and explaining procedures before each exam, positioning patients and adjusting equipment to capture high-quality images, operating ultrasound equipment and evaluating images during the scan, taking measurements, calculating values, and preparing preliminary findings for physician review, maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, keeping ultrasound equipment properly maintained and ready for use, and following safety, infection control, and quality standards throughout each exam.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in sonography from an accredited school (Required)
- Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) Certification (Required)
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a certified sonographer
- Strong attention to detail, technical accuracy, and patient-centered care
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
