About The Position

Join a supportive outpatient Women’s Health environment where you can make a meaningful contribution to patient care. This full-time opportunity allows you to work alongside skilled providers while continuing to advance your expertise in obstetric and gynecologic imaging. The Ultrasound Tech performs pelvic and obstetrical ultrasounds in an outpatient Women’s Health / OB/GYN setting. The Ultrasound Tech is responsible for obtaining accurate images, measurements, and Doppler samples, documenting findings, supporting physicians when abnormalities are identified, and providing compassionate care throughout each patient’s visit.

Requirements

  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required and must be maintained
  • Nuchal Translucency certification required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage high-pressure or emergent situations professionally
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Patient-centered approach to care
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Nuchal Translucency certification

Responsibilities

  • Review the daily ultrasound schedule and prepare patient and referral information
  • Enter ultrasound orders into Athena to ensure appropriate system communication
  • Escort patients to the ultrasound suite and clearly explain procedures
  • Prepare patients and examination rooms for ultrasounds and procedures
  • Perform pelvic and obstetrical ultrasounds
  • Capture all required images, measurements, and Doppler samples
  • Generate reports in Viewpoint and ensure accurate data transfer
  • Present images and preliminary findings to physicians when abnormalities are detected
  • Complete billing for ultrasound services performed
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment, including proper probe cleaning and sterilization
  • Monitor ultrasound supplies and request orders as needed
  • Report equipment or system issues involving GE, Philips, Viewpoint, or office systems
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and required HIPAA and OSHA training
  • Support the training and mentoring of new sonographers
  • Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care
