About The Position

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Tech for their OBGYN department in the LaGrange, KY area. This first shift position offers a sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. The role involves coordinating healthcare services to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment, maintaining Ultrasound sciences standards, and exercising professional judgment. The technician will manage patient care, adapt to a changing work environment, and contribute to staff competencies, schedules, and educational needs. Proficiency in various obstetric and pelvic ultrasound studies is required. If working with Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, nuchal translucency certification is preferred or must be obtained within the first year.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Holds current credentials as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
Three (3) years of experience in scanning OB-GYN procedures.
Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate.
Nuchal translucency certification preferred (or obtained within the first year of employment) if working with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians.

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree from an OB-GYN Ultrasound program preferred (Certificate or Degree as long as registry eligible).

Responsibilities

Coordinates the delivery of health care services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Establishes and maintains standards of care in Ultrasound sciences.
Exercises professional judgment in performance of duties.
Assures appropriate patient care management and adjusts daily operations to meet the needs of a changing work environment.
Involved with staff competencies, schedules, and educational needs.
Performs Biophysical Profile, Complete Obstetric Ultrasound, Limited Obstetric Ultrasound, Multiple Gestation Ultrasound, Transvaginal (cervical length) Ultrasound, and Pelvic Ultrasound proficiently.
