Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Graduate of an Ultrasound accredited program with ARDMS certification.
3 years experience in general sonography.
ARDMS – American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers certification.
Healthcare Provider Level CPR certification.
Ultrasound procedures knowledge.
Good communication skills.
Good patient care skills.
Teamwork ability.
Customer service skills.
Procedure flexibility.
Multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

Performs all ultrasound exams/procedures as ordered by referring physicians.
Responsible for all peripheral activities associated with each test/procedure, including patient identification, educating patients and family members, validating orders and ordering physicians, completing all paperwork, completing all Meditech entries, transferring images, and ensuring ordering physicians receive final results.
