About The Position
The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations and demonstrates competency across all exams, producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. The technologist positions patients and equipment, creates appropriate recordings, and processes and transmits images to PACS. St. Francis Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare institution serving the Los Angeles community. It provides diagnostic and treatment services in areas including cardiovascular care, surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency and trauma care, as well as education and outreach programs. The hospital is a Comprehensive Stroke Center, STEMI Receiving Center, ED Approved for Pediatrics, Geriatric ED, Level III Neonatal ICU, and Level II Trauma Center.
Requirements
- RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region, required within 90 days of hire and maintained.
- Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program, or hold current certification as identified above and graduate within 90 days of hire.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
- Proficient computer skills.
