About The Position

This role requires flexibility with work hours to meet department needs, dependability, accountability, and cooperation. The Ultrasound Technologist will assist in providing safe, age-appropriate care to patients by performing all department-provided exams according to protocols. The technologist must possess the knowledge and ability to safely obtain quality diagnostic studies and independently perform job functions. This includes setting up equipment for imaging services and positioning patients for procedures. The role involves performing a wide variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in using equipment for disease diagnosis and/or treatment.

Requirements

• 1 year experience
• BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
• ARDMS - Registered Medical Sonographer or ARRT-S - ARRT Sonography

Responsibilities

• Assists with providing safe, age appropriate care to the patient by performing all exams provided by the department per department protocols.
• Has the knowledge and ability to properly and safely obtain a quality diagnostic study.
• Responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases.
• Able to independently perform job functions.
• Sets up the equipment to provide imaging service and positions patient for the procedure.
