About The Position

Mountain West Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. The role involves coordinating tests, recording results, and maintaining operational logs. The technologist will also be responsible for calibrating and maintaining equipment and ordering supplies. This position requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field, and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The role involves a variety of tasks, working under general supervision with a degree of creativity and latitude, and typically reports to a chief technologist or manager.

Requirements

  • BLS Certificate
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Sonography OR RDMS Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography OR Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Radiography.
  • ARDMS SPI certification (if applicable based on education path).
  • Must be eligible and certify in OB/GYN, Abdomen, Breast, or RVT within 1 year of hire (if applicable based on education path).
  • Must be eligible to certify in RVT within 1 year of hire (if applicable based on education path).
  • ARRT Certificate in Sonography (if applicable based on education path).
  • 1 year employed sonographer experience preferred (if applicable based on education path).
  • Must be eligible to certify in Vascular Sonography within 1 year of hire (if applicable based on education path).

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year employed sonographer experience preferred
