About The Position

Join our team as a full-time, Maternal Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technician on the day shift in Westwood, NJ. The role is with Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center, a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital featuring a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program
Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or an equivalent, with successful completion of certification within 6 months of hire
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing high frequency sounds waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities
Assist in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service
Perform all Ultrasound examinations
Transport patients to and from Imaging Services
Prepare all departmental paperwork
Answer the department’s telephone
Schedule patients
Enter and retrieve patient information from the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS)
Maintain the work area in a clean and organized manner
