About The Position

This internship is for individuals enrolled in a contracted educational program. Under the supervision of faculty or a clinical preceptor, the intern will perform functions for which they have the educational foundation to perform safely. A clinical preceptor facilitates student learning as prescribed by a signed written agreement. The Radiology Career Ladder policy is designed to recognize professional excellence in imaging and outlines the process for evaluation, advancement, or adjustment of an employee's level on the ladder.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be enrolled in a contracted formal educational program.
  • Ability to read and analyze information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from all Hospital’s publics.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear.
  • Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of two (2) hours of hospital-provided continuing education hours upon hire and annually for Advanced Sterile Processing Certification.
  • Education will focus on the handling of soiled instrumentation at the point of use and storage of instrumentation for sterile processing department pick-up.
