About The Position

Performs various ultrasound procedures, including educating and preparing patients and operating ultrasound equipment. Performs general and vascular ultrasound procedures, as well as portable ultrasound exams in the operating room or special care areas within the hospital and at outpatient centers as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program, or have been grandfathered for certification prior to 2010.
• Be registered in both General and Vascular Sonography by ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI, or obtain both registrations within 12 months of hire.
• Participate in ongoing continuing education.
• Have considerable skill performing ultrasound studies, including abdominal, OB, GYN, and vascular studies.
• Be able to accept new responsibilities as new equipment or examinations are introduced.
• Have current BLS certification.
