Requirements

  • Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association
  • Current registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (or must be registry-eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment in technologist position)
  • Must be registered through ARDMS with AB, OB/GYN and RVT (Practice and State Specific)

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound exams and assist radiologists with image-guided procedures.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients while ensuring safety and infection control standards.
  • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accurately document exams in RIS/PACS.
  • Coordinate patient care by reviewing referrals, ordering labs, communicating results, and supporting scheduling.
  • Maintain equipment, quality assurance, ACR accreditation standards, inventory, and train new staff as needed.
