Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the Ultrasound Technologist prepares for and operates ultrasound equipment following specific physicians orders. This role involves producing detailed computer-generated scans of patients, specifically for breast imaging, and ensuring patient identification and proper archiving of exams on the PACS. The technologist is also responsible for maintaining facilities and staying updated on new departmental imaging techniques. Additionally, the position requires performing various ultrasound and color Doppler exams and assisting radiologists with invasive procedures.
