About The Position

The Ultrasound Systems Engineer will play a critical role in creating the next generation of ultrasound products, contributing to life-saving healthcare solutions globally. This position involves applying acoustic wave propagation and signal processing theory to design and specify new imaging algorithms and sub-systems. Key responsibilities include coordinating the design, development, and integration of new ultrasound systems and transducers, as well as tuning diagnostic ultrasound systems for optimal image quality across various transducers and imaging features. The engineer will lead the complete development and implementation of new ultrasound imaging capabilities, encompassing development plans, algorithm design, integration strategy, and software implementation. Collaboration with Research, Marketing, and Product Management organizations is essential to define new feature requirements that meet specific clinical applications and market needs. Additionally, the role involves developing and participating in medical ultrasound feasibility and research projects to support ongoing research and development efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience with signal/image processing, filter design and linear/nonlinear acoustic wave propagation
  • Proven experience in Ultrasound imaging, beamforming, acquisition design, acoustic wave propagation theory, and clinical laboratory experience.
  • Able to collaborate with cross functional team members, including Research, Marketing and Product Management.
  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position

Responsibilities

  • Apply acoustic wave propagation and signal processing theory to the design and specification of new imaging algorithms and imaging sub-systems.
  • Coordinate the design, development, and integration of new ultrasound systems and transducers.
  • Tune diagnostic ultrasound systems for optimum image quality on a range of transducers and imaging features
  • Lead the complete development and implementation of new ultrasound imaging capabilities, including development plans, algorithm design, integration strategy, and SW implementation.
  • Collaborate with Research, Marketing and Product Management organizations to define new feature requirements to meet specific clinical applications and market needs.
  • Develop and participate in medical ultrasound feasibility and research projects to support research and development
