Ultrasound Student Tech
About The Position
Student Ultrasound Technologist will aid with imaging exams. Will assist with ultrasound procedures at the entry level requiring knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology. Should be actively enrolled in an accredited Ultrasound program. Upon completion of the certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), a promotion will be awarded from a student tech position to a vacant ultrasound technologist position. The promotion wage increase will be based on passing the ultrasound tech registry. Benefits and sign on bonus will also be awarded if eligible based on position.
Requirements
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Ultrasound program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
- SCRQSA Certification required.
- Basic Life Support required upon hire.
- Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
- Must be ambidextrous.
- Must possess excellent hand to eye coordination.
