About The Position
Join WakeMed as an Ultrasound Student Scholar! Are you currently enrolled in a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare setting? WakeMed Health & Hospitals is excited to offer an opportunity for passionate students to join our team as Ultrasound Student Scholars — where learning meets purpose and excellence is the standard. As an Ultrasound Scholar, you’ll work side-by-side with our experienced Registered Sonographers, learning to operate ultrasound equipment and capture high-quality images of various parts of the body. You’ll also assist with supportive tasks that help ensure smooth and safe procedures for our patients. This is a pre-graduate role designed to help you build confidence, sharpen your skills, and prepare for a successful career in medical imaging — all while being part of a team that lives the WakeWay every day.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Currently Enrolled in an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Responsibilities
- Operate ultrasound equipment and capture high-quality images of various parts of the body.
- Assist with supportive tasks that help ensure smooth and safe procedures for our patients.
