About The Position
REVIEWS APPOINTMENT SCHEDULES AND SUGGESTS CHANGES NECESSARY TO PROVIDE MAXIMUM USE OF THE AVAILABLE RESOURCES (RE: EQUIPMENT AND STAFF) IN ORDER TO ASSURE THE MOST EFFICIENT SERVICE TO THE PATIENTS AND PHYSICIANS. OPERATES AND MAINTAINS PROFICIENCY ON ALL ULTRASOUND EQUIPMENT WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT IN ORDER TO PROVIDE QUALITY IMAGING. PERFORMS PATIENT PROCEDURES AND PROVIDES APPROPRIATE SCANNING TECHNIQUES AND IMAGES. IMAGES ARE LABELED WITH CORRECT NAME AND IDENTIFICATION NUMBER. Augusta Health offers a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient which includes Augusta Medical Center a 255 bed inpatient facility and Augusta Medical Group which is comprised of 40 practice locations and four urgent care locations.
Requirements
- Previous hospital experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Successfully completion of physics boards and abdominal boards through ARDMS
- Candidate must be CPR Certified
- Registered with ARDMS in Abdomen
Responsibilities
- Reviews appointment schedules and suggests changes necessary to provide maximum use of available resources.
- Operates and maintains proficiency on all ultrasound equipment.
- Performs patient procedures and provides appropriate scanning techniques and images.
- Ensures images are labeled with correct name and identification number.
