About The Position

Work Schedule : 100% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Be part of something remarkable Join the mission of the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (UWHC) School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and contribute to the education of students in the art and science of diagnostic medical sonography. We are seeking an Ultrasound Instructor to: Instruct and grade assigned clinical education laboratory experiences for students. Use your broad knowledge and experience in the application of ultrasound to a wide range of specialties including abdominal, cardiac, vascular, superficial parts, obstetric and gynecologic imaging in educating students and ensuring that students are well prepared for examinations conducted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree within 12 months of hire
  • Graduate of a 2-year certificate program in diagnostic medical sonography
  • 3 years of professional experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer or cardiac sonographer and/or vascular technologist
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification in the following specialties: Abdomen, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Vascular Technology Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education
  • 5 years of professional experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer or cardiac sonographer and/or vascular technologist
  • Pediatric Echocardiography
  • Musculoskeletal Sonography

Responsibilities

  • Instruct and grade assigned clinical education laboratory experiences for students.
