About The Position

Join a team developing next-generation medical imaging systems where your hands-on expertise directly impacts product performance, reliability, and patient outcomes. This is not a routine test role—you will build, debug, and improve complex prototype hardware systems in a fast-paced engineering environment. This is not a production role — you will not be assembling the same product repeatedly on a line. This role is in an engineering development lab environment with constantly evolving hardware systems, minimal bureaucracy, and a strong focus on fast iteration. You will work on one-of-a-kind prototype systems where procedures may not yet exist and have a direct impact on design decisions, system performance, and product direction.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent, or HS diploma with 2+ years experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills at board and subsystem level
  • Experience with electronic hardware and test equipment
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical data
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work with general direction in dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Strong surface mount soldering and rework experience
  • Experience in prototype or engineering lab environment

Responsibilities

  • Own hardware issues from discovery through root cause and resolution
  • Troubleshoot problems with incomplete data and multiple variables
  • Drive to true root cause using schematics, tools, and system knowledge
  • Serve as a go-to troubleshooter for complex issues
  • Rework and modify prototype PCB hardware down to 0402 components
  • Perform complex soldering and hardware modifications including IC replacement and daughter cards
  • Troubleshoot hardware using oscilloscopes, meters, and schematics
  • Configure and manage multiple prototype systems
  • Set up and execute experiments and data acquisition testing
  • Analyze and document results and recommendations
  • Support system-level hardware/software debugging
  • Improve system performance, reliability, and serviceability
  • Maintain accurate and traceable records of work
  • Comply with quality, regulatory, and EHS requirements
  • Support continuous improvement efforts

Benefits

  • Great work environment
  • Professional development
  • Challenging careers
