The Ultrasonographer position is part of the Radiology Department and is a part-time role working 56 hours per two-week pay period. This position primarily follows a day shift schedule and includes call, weekend, and holiday responsibilities. The Ultrasonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures, assists in the evaluation of patient conditions, and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. This role requires initiative, professionalism, and strong communication skills while maintaining a focus on patient safety and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • ARDMS certified, registry eligible, and Ohio licensed
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and interdepartmental staff
  • Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong communication skills
  • Independent thinker with a commitment to teamwork and exceptional patient care

Nice To Haves

  • Vascular, OB/GYN, and general ultrasound experience preferred
  • Willingness to learn cardiac ultrasound

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries
  • Determine proper technique and position patients for optimal imaging
  • Assess patient needs, plan care, and provide safe, high-quality imaging services
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain adherence to professional and departmental standards and protocols
  • Support a team-focused, patient-centered environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
