About The Position

The Ultrasonographer performs basic diagnostic ultrasound examinations as prescribed by a physician and documents findings. The role assists physicians with invasive procedures as needed, provides appropriate patient care, and recognizes patient conditions essential to successfully completing procedures. The position is listed for Tech 1 (less than two years of related work experience) and Tech 2 (two years or more of related work experience). The imaging unit uses technology across several imaging services and supports the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Two years of relevant ultrasound experience required.
• Upon hire, required certification: ARRT Sonographer (S), or ARDMS Abdomen (AB) and Ob/Gyn (OB).
• Upon hire, required vascular certification: ARDMS Vascular Technologist (VT) or ARRT Vascular Sonographer (VS).
• Upon hire, required breast certification: ARDMS Breast (BR) or ARRT Breast Sonographer (BS), subject to the listed site exclusions.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree.
• ARDMS Pediatric Sonographer (PS) certification, preferred at HDVCH sites.
• ARDMS Musculoskeletal (MSK) certification, preferred at MSK sites.
