Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Ultrasonic Testing Technician to join our team.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 2 to 3 years minimum experience certified Level 2 per SNT-TC-1A, NAS 410 or equivalent in Ultrasonic Immersion / Contact (Type 1 and 2).
  • Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management.
  • Reads, understands and correctly interprets basic blueprint drawings.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
  • Must be capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
  • Must have grip strength of at least 50 lbs.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company’s Quality Policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong computer skills will be necessary in order to learn multiple Ultrasonic Platforms.
  • Must be able to follow written instructions.
  • Self-motivated and capable of keeping workflow moving.

Responsibilities

  • Process aerospace hardware primarily using Immersion UT inspections as well as limited contact UT. This will include the use of turntable Immersion Linear arrays as well as traditional Immersion UT. Occasional contact UT using Linear Arrays and shearwave will be required.
  • Process aerospace hardware primarily using Liquid penetrant.
  • Interpret UT inspections using C-Scan, B-Scan and A-Scan presentations.
  • Read, understand and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings as well as Williams International standards and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
  • Visually inspects parts prior to UT inspection to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces.
  • Maintain proper identification of parts throughout inspection process.
  • Communicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.
  • Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.
  • Train new hires.
  • Create, program and write NDT part specific technique.
