About The Position

Elevated Third is a global B2B digital agency and Drupal expert that designs, builds, and optimizes complex digital experiences for enterprise and mid-market clients. They are seeking a senior contract UI / Visual Designer to lead the visual design aspect of their B2B web projects. This role focuses on marketing sites and web platforms, not product design, and involves creating corporate sites, campaign pages, and lead-generation experiences for B2B SaaS and enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can frame visual systems, engage in client conversations, and utilize modern AI tools to enhance production efficiency, focusing on strategic and craft decisions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of UI / Visual Design experience.
• At least 3 years designing B2B marketing sites or web platforms (not primarily app or product UI).
• A portfolio showcasing high-fidelity web mockups, design system thinking, and confident brand interpretation (not templates or mood boards).
• Expert Figma proficiency, including auto-layout, variants, tokens, and component documentation.
• Demonstrated AI-forward workflow with experience using AI tools on real client work.
• Comfort presenting and defending design decisions directly to clients.
• Availability for 10-20 hours per week on a flexible, variable schedule aligned with U.S. business hours.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Webflow or Framer proficiency.
• Motion or micro-interaction design skills (Lottie, After Effects, Rive).
• Experience designing for Drupal, WordPress, or similar enterprise CMS workflows.
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and performance-conscious design choices.
• Public work, talks, or writing on design systems, AI in design, or B2B web strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the visual design layer, translating UX wireframes and brand systems into high-fidelity web concepts, component libraries, and responsive layouts in Figma.
• Set the visual direction and present concepts to clients with strategic rationale, defending decisions and constructively pushing back when necessary.
• Build scalable component systems, documenting tokens, components, and states for front-end developers.
• Leverage AI tools (Figma AI, Claude, image generation, etc.) as a force multiplier to compress production time.
• Connect dots across the team by identifying design decision implications for SEO, performance, accessibility, or conversion, and looping in specialists.
• Maintain high craft standards in typography, layout, color, and micro-interactions, ensuring tight hand-offs to save dev time and protect quality.
