They use research findings and brand identity to shape design patterns, navigation, interaction systems, and digital storytelling, and collaborate with developers to ensure designs are feasible and translated accurately into finished products. The role includes spatial interaction design, comfort and motion-sickness considerations, XR interaction methods such as hands, controllers, gaze, and voice, and XR accessibility. The designer also works with HTML, CSS, content management systems, and content contributors to implement Mayo Clinic identity across websites and create engaging immersive experiences. The position requires on-site presence, with flexibility to work from home as needed during the week once oriented to the role. It combines remote and on-site work, and the employee must live within a 100-mile driving distance of the Rochester Mayo Clinic campus.
