About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a UI Developer (React.js) position for our client. This is an ongoing contract role located in San Antonio, TX, requiring onsite work 5 days per week. The developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining responsive, high-performance web applications using React.js and related technologies. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable UI solutions, developing reusable components and front-end architecture, and implementing modern JavaScript and Node.js solutions. The role also involves creating and maintaining unit tests with Jest and end-to-end tests with Cypress, ensuring WCAG accessibility standards, participating in code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. The developer will support UI enhancements and maintenance, working closely with designers and backend developers to deliver seamless, user-focused applications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in UI development.
• Strong proficiency with React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, and modern front-end development practices.
• Experience developing and executing unit tests using Jest.
• Experience creating automated UI test cases using Cypress.
• Proficiency in implementing WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience with Talon web development and Reveille design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Prior experience working at USAA as a UI Developer is required.
• Candidates must not have worked at USAA within the past 180 days.

Nice To Haves

• Eight or more years of hands-on UI development experience delivering enterprise-scale web applications.
• Proven experience developing responsive, accessible, and maintainable React.js applications.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex UI issues and deliver high-quality, testable code.
