About The Position

This role is for a UI Angular Developer with experience in migrating large UI estates, specifically focusing on managing regression risks. The position requires strong hands-on experience with Angular (v14), including major version upgrades, and expertise in Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures and monorepo management. The developer will also be involved in backend Java Spring development, cloud DevOps, testing, quality, security, and architecture design leadership. Customer and delivery leadership skills are critical for stakeholder interaction and guiding multiple teams.

Requirements

  • Overall Experience: 12-16 years
  • Role Experience: 4-6 years as Tech Lead/Solution Lead
  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular (v14), including major version upgrades.
  • Expertise in Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures and monorepo management.
  • Deep knowledge of Angular CLI, schematics, codemods.
  • Experience with RxJS, NgRx (or equivalent state management).
  • Experience with UI performance optimization and lazy loading.
  • Experience migrating large UI estates (200 screens) with regression risk management.
  • 10 years of experience in Java enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot 2.x/3.x upgrades.
  • Hands-on expertise with Jakarta (JavaX Jakarta EE) migration.
  • Hands-on expertise with Hibernate 5/6 (SQL and ORM impact analysis).
  • Strong REST API design experience (stateless services).
  • Experience with database-heavy applications (Oracle, stored procedures).
  • Solid understanding of containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
  • Familiarity with environment promotion strategies (Dev, UAT).
  • Knowledge of UI hosting patterns (Apache vs S3 CloudFront trade-offs).
  • Strong grasp of test strategy for upgrades (Unit, integration, regression, NFT).
  • Familiarity with Playwright (UI testing).
  • Familiarity with Karate (API testing).
  • Experience interpreting and remediating Sonar issues.
  • Experience interpreting and remediating security vulnerabilities post-upgrade.
  • Understanding of PII, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, Azure AD authentication.
  • Ability to assess upgrade impacts and define technical guardrails.
  • Ability to make pragmatic decisions (no re-architecture constraint).
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks early (UI volume, SQL changes, hosting decisions).
  • Comfortable documenting high-level architecture, upgrade approach, and deployment models.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Oracle Forms to Angular modernization.

  • AWS Solution Architect or equivalent certification.
  • Experience preparing inputs for GRC/PTO reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Migrate large UI estates (200 screens) with regression risk management.
  • Perform Java enterprise application development, including Spring Boot upgrades and Jakarta EE migration.
  • Conduct SQL and ORM impact analysis with Hibernate 5/6.
  • Design and implement strong REST APIs (stateless services).
  • Work with database-heavy applications, including Oracle stored procedures.
  • Deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or AWS ECS Fargate.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Manage environment promotion strategies (Dev, UAT).
  • Understand and implement UI hosting patterns (Apache vs S3 CloudFront).
  • Develop and execute test strategies for upgrades (Unit, integration, regression, NFT).
  • Utilize Playwright for UI testing and Karate for API testing.
