About The Position

Linde Inc. is seeking a UHP Analytical Systems Support Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves understanding and adhering to company safety policies, assisting with the commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of analytical systems, analyzers, associated components, and bulk gas purification systems. The engineer will also manage spare parts, develop operating and maintenance procedures with the Reliability team, and interpret P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams. Effective communication with plant maintenance teams and travel to plant locations are key aspects of this position, which may include occasional after-hours work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry or Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an industrial environment, including safety management, process engineering, and engineering projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to write and interpret technical procedures and instructions.
  • Highly organized self-starter with the ability to work independently and across organizational lines to achieve objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% within the U.S., provide after-hours support, and carry a cell phone for off-hours plant assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial gas experience preferred.
  • Experience with mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, FTIR, process analyzers, and ultra-high purity gas purification systems preferred.
  • Basic electrical and instrumentation aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to company safety policies, work practices, and operating procedures while reporting safety incidents and near misses.
  • Assist with commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of analytical systems, analyzers, associated components, cylinders, tubing, purifiers, sample pumps, controls, dilution systems, and analyzer suites.
  • Identify, manage, and maintain spare and replacement components for analytical systems.
  • Assist with commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance of bulk gas purification systems, gas purifiers, and filtration systems at ultra-high purity installations.
  • Work with the Reliability team to develop and maintain operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and preventive maintenance schedules for electronics-specific analytical and purification systems.
  • Read, interpret, and maintain P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, QA requirements, and MOC policies.
  • Communicate effectively with plant maintenance teams and build strong working relationships to support operational needs.
  • Travel to plant locations as required and support both field and office-based activities, including occasional after-hours work.
