About The Position

This role involves operating various equipment for construction operations, maintenance, and expansion within the mine. Responsibilities include form building, rebar installation, concrete pouring, steel fabrication and maintenance, pipe installation, shotcrete applications, grouting, and fabrication of steel and wood structures. The position also requires experience with jackleg and sinking hammers for site excavation and modification, the ability to prioritize and follow instructions, and to work independently.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude: piping, pumping, welding, cutting torch
• Equipment Operator, LHD's, skid steer, trucks, forklifts, buggies, tractors.
• Able to work from prints/drawings.
• Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on teamwork and team building.
• Must meet the Physical Requirements for the UG Construction position.
• Understanding of and a strong commitment to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate various equipment needed in the construction process for operations, maintenance, and expansion.
• Build forms, install rebar & pour concrete, steel fabrication & maintenance required.
• Install pipe of all sizes in all areas of the mine.
• Plan and organize and perform shotcrete applications & grouting.
• Plan, organize steel & wood fabrication for various projects. Includes welding & cutting.
• Use jackleg & sinking hammer experience for site excavation, modification & set up.
• Prioritize, understand, and follow written /verbal instructions.
• Work without direct supervision.
